The Board

Den Norske Klub is managed by a voluntary Committee of Board of Directors. The Board is responsible for all aspects of the Klub’s operations, such as planning and organising events, publishing the newsletter Northern Lights, maintaining the DNK website, Klub finances, liaising with sponsors, advertisers and other external relations, as well as looking after members’ interests. All board members are elected for a period of three years, with the option to renew twice for up to nine years.

Constanse Mjeldheim Bowes-Lyon

Constanse Mjeldheim Bowes-Lyon

Constanse has spent more than ten years working and studying in the US, UK, Norway and Asia. She is currently working as a senior consultant for a leading energy and commodities search firm. She holds an MA in International Relations from King’s College London and a BA from University of Bergen / American University. Outside of work, Constanse enjoys travelling, hiking, architecture, free diving, learning new languages and sailing.

Damien

Damian Sebastian Serwin

Damian has a background in finance, having spent the last years working in investment banking covering shipping and maritime services, business and industrial services, as well as wider energy sector across the UK and Nordics. His previous experiences range from leading teams in transportation and logistics in Amazon, contributing to the asset backed securities and treasury management departments in Volkswagen Financial Services, as well as managing food retail stores as a store manager. He holds an MSc in Finance from Cass Business School and undergraduate degree in BSc Economics and Management from Aston Business School. Outside of work, Damian interests include travelling, cycling, running, exploring art exhibitions, and reading.

Christian

Christian Armand

Christian Armand Hvamstad is a visionary executive with over 15 years of experience in finance, capital markets, and private banking across London and Oslo, along with more than 5 years as a founder and leader in the Energy Transition and Tech sectors. He co-founded Wastefront, Jagca Capital, and docStribute, where he has been instrumental in securing strategic partnerships, driving operational growth, and raising significant funding. Christian holds a Master’s in Financial Services Management from the University of Surrey and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Sunderland. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, staying active, exploring restaurants, and travelling.

Maria Ellord-Nord

Maria Ellord-Nord

While Maria was doing her degree in Software Engineering at the university of Southampton, she spent her summers in Oslo studying Norwegian at the University of Oslo. Although she is living in the UK, it is very important for her to stay connected to Norway: she was a member of the Nordic Society at the university and then joined DNK after graduation. Now Maria does technology for an asset management company in London. She enjoys music, reading and travelling. 

Geir Lund

Geir Lund

Geir has long experience as a CEO in different norwegian and international companies. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from Stavanger University and supplemental educations in High and Low Voltage Management, economics and also Marked and Management. As a serial entrepreneur he has enjoyed the challenges to explore new markeds and working with clever minds. The latest 19 years he has run his own business, Gray Select and has spent much time buying and selling companies for clients. Furthermore acting as an advisor towards Boards and Management. With offices both in Stavanger and London travelling is most appreciated and meeting new people gives life fuel for new adventures. Other interests are photography, diving, genealogy and exercising.

Jonas Rutschmann

Jonas has a background in financial technology and politics, having spent the last years working in the financial technology sector covering the buy-side. He currently resides in London, whilst having spent his formative years in both Norway and Switzerland. He holds a BSc in Politics and International Relations from the University of Exeter. Besides work, Jonas has a passion for squash, the countryside, food and meeting new people.
