Concert & Dinner at Drapers' Hall - 4th February 2015

hall

We are delighted to be able to give details of a very special invitation to DNK members from The Anglo-Norse Society. The historic Drapers’ Hall, owned by the Worshipful Company of Drapers, provides a magnificent setting for this event. The present site was purchased from Henry VIII, but the Mansion was destroyed in the Great Fire and rebuilt in 1667. Some parts of the building were destroyed in a fire in 1772 and the  front was rebuilt by the Adam brothers. Herbert William remodelled the Hall in 1868 and later alterations were carried out in 1898. The building is lavishly decorated with some outstanding works of art and there are some spectacular Victorian chandeliers which is why it is frequently used in films.
